e-ppl make every effort and take every precaution available to us, to comply with all legal obligations under the 1998 Data Protection Act.
We only collect the personal information you choose to provide us with and that you create within the fields of our site, although we may also collect information about how you use our sites and the areas of our site that you visit through the administrative back-office area which is only available to e-ppl and use is limited strictly to enable us to continue developing and improving the site for both candidates and customers, employers, recruitment and employment businesses.
You have the option to remove any of the information that you have provided us with and that e-ppl stores about you, at any time, by logging in to the site and changing permissions via your individual e-ppl dashboard. Alternatively you may also choose to permanently close the account at any time.

How the information you provide may be used:
When you complete your e-ppl profile using the open fields within the site, including either creating your CV using our online generator or by uploading your own version, you can choose to make it available for searching, viewing over the Internet and downloading by any direct recruiter, employment consultant or recruitment business or any other person or organisation who requests CVs, where your details match their search criteria and your details may be passed onto them by e-ppl. Note however, e-ppl does not verify the identity or the nature of the business of such organisations. Some of our customers are typically businesses based within the UK, but may also be located in other countries, including those outside the European Economic Area. The world wide web (www.) can be freely accessed from anywhere within the world and by posting your information and activating your account you agree that this may be the case and agree that e-ppl shall remain indemnified against any future loss, claim or otherwise that may arise as a direct result of you posting your information in the viewable section of the site.
PLEASE NOTE: Your current employer may be an e-ppl customer, or a client of one of our customers who may be acting on their behalf. It is impossible for e-ppl to restrict the customers who access profiles on our database and cannot be held responsible for any and every eventuality. As part of the registration process e-ppl offers you the option of remaining anonymous.
Information you post in the public and viewable areas of the site or placed in the searchable CV database will be accessed, used, and stored by other companies and organisations, which can be anywhere in the world. As far as possible, we strive to provide a safe and secure environment by limiting access to our database to legitimate users, and registered clients, but cannot guarantee that unauthorised parties will not gain access. We cannot control how authorised clients or registered users store or transfer information downloaded from our database. It makes sense therefore to endeavour to ensure that you do not post sensitive information to the e-ppl site either directly within your profile or through your CV or covering letters.
Initially, no one sees your contact detail, however once a company, agency or potential employer purchases enough credits they will have access to your contact details if you haven’t chosen to keep them anonymous.
Your Choice of Viewable Information:
Your information is fully editable at any time, via your e-ppl dashboard.
To do this, log into your account, go to your dashboard and then make the changes you require.
Should you wish to delete information, the information will leave the public domain, but e-ppl will retain logs, of all statistical and demographic data, and keep an archived copy of your information in an anonymous form on one of our secure servers. If your personal information was previously accessed by others using the site, then unfortunately we are unable to retrieve the information they may have on their system.
If you choose to create a profile and upload a CV to our database you are responsible for ensuring that your information is kept up to date and that you login in regularly if you are seeking a new position, as the date you were last logged in is provided to potential employers and agencies. We stringly suggest you log you’re your account at least once per week and update your CV at least every four weeks where applicable. Obviously any change in contact details, telephone numbers or addresses should be changed immediately. Your account will remain open indefinitely, so if you are open to hearing of new opportunities aside from your current position, it makes sense to keep your CV posted even when you’re employed, although you may choose at any time to make your CV anonymous.
When you 'apply online', we store information about you on your dashboard area. This information is protected by your log in details and only accessible to you. It does not form part of our e-ppl candidate database and cannot be searched or accessed by e-ppl customers. Your CV can only be viewed by an e-ppl customer if you have consented to this within your dashboard and where the client chooses to use purchased credits to access this information.
Please note that e-ppl reserves the right to remove from our database, CV’s, letters or any other information that has been provided, which includes any content that we consider to be either illegal or offensive or contrary to e-ppl general ethics and decency practises. In all cases, this will be solely at the discretion of e-ppl.
If you change your mind about receiving communications from e-ppl, you may change your preferences by logging into your account at any time.
The information you provide to us may be used to advise and inform you of the various products and services we offer, and to operate and improve our sites. We may use your information to contact you about e-ppl site updates, conduct surveys, or informational and service-related communications, including important security updates.
