Throughout my working life in various roles within a range of businesses and different sectors, I have had the unique advantage of observing the market trends as they emerged and their effect on business and industry.
Now as CEO of e-ppl, I am focused on using these insights, coupled with the life experiences of my team and our clients, to develop next-generation Labour Solutions that are suitable for all businesses regardless of whether it is a small family run firm or a large multi-national corporation.
We recognised a long time ago, what many others have either missed or ignored, in that:
“Every single business is very different, but all are equally important to the people that they employ!”
2009 saw the launch of our new Labour Solutions Team to support the existing and growing Special Projects Division, which works with some of the most prestigious and recognisable brands within the UK.
The first step of the ‘Labour Solution’ process is to conduct a 1 day workshop with our client’s team (after all they are the people who know their business the best). This workshop is aimed at giving us a detailed understanding of their business, the people, their likes and dislikes, ideas on what things they would like to change.
Our Labour Solutions Specialists then work on a range of solutions and deliver back to the client a ‘Roadmap to Flexibility’. The roadmap will incorporate the client’s ‘wish list’ whilst also targeting fixed costs, improving profitability and providing a more flexible workforce – all working towards the ultimate goal of re-positioning their business for a successful long-term future to stay ahead of their competitors.
Since starting the workshops, we have heard many recurring statements made by clients specifically around the problems they have when advertising jobs and finding candidates.
· “Jobs adverts in papers are expensive”
· “Internet Jobsites can be good, but most require a fixed contract term and fixed monthly payments”
· “Jobsites cost us a fortune each month, regardless of whether we use them or not”
· “We are only a small firm, so can’t afford the monthly costs of using the big sites”
· “I would prefer to be able to search CV’s myself”
· “It would be far better if we could try before we buy”
· “Jobsites are so full of advertising, I find them difficult to use”
· “I would definitely use a jobsite if it were on a Pay As You Go basis”
Listening to our customers, we discussed how we could develop ‘something’ that would give them exactly what they want, whilst retaining the key principles of FLEXIBLE, NO FIXED COST, PAY AS YOU GO that are at the heart of our business and that I am passionate about upholding in everything we do. This is where a simple, easy to use internet based jobsite, originally took shape and would be unique within the marketplace which is heavily dominated by a few major players …. Which we considered a reasonable challenge!
Since we made the decision to create the site, it has taken many months to develop and has evolved from the initial concept of being an internal and client only system, into a fully functional jobsite which can be used by any candidates seeking work, or by anyone responsible for recruiting personnel for their company, or recruitment companies working on behalf of their client.
Whilst we have opened the site up to far a wider audience, the original objectives of being a simple and easy to use system, which is accessible by all sizes of business and a flexible, ‘Pay As You Go’ type payment structure remain at the very heart of the system.
Undoubtedly there will be many further enhancements that we need to make and this will be a constantly evolving process, but I sincerely hope that you like the site, the look and the feel of how it is structured and most importantly that it actually works for you as either a candidate or a recruiter.
We are constantly evolving and developing the site and we value and use all customer feedback to help us make things better, so please do email us with any ideas, feedback or any suggestions!!
Thanks and enjoy using the new site!
