Telesales Executive
Our client, a leading Software provider is now looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self motivated Telesales Executive to join their growing busy team on-site in Exeter.
The successful Telesales Executive will sit between the Marketing function and the businesses Inside Sales function. The role will support upstream marketing activities and campaigns whilst feeding the field based direct sales team with qualified leads.
The primary focus of the Telesales Executive is to generate qualified leads by contacting new prospects (non-customers) in order to support the drive to expand our customer and site base. The targeting of new prospects is driven by upstream marketing activities (direct and indirect).
Any secondary focus of the role will revolve around supporting the downstream Inside Sales team with lead generation within the existing customer base.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Lead generation (outbound calling of new prospects) - with qualified leads passed into Inside Sales
- Enquiry handling (1st point of contact/call back of a non-customer)
- Maintain CRM database (telesales component)
- Own and manage the telesales (unqualified) leads and call back pipeline
- Business intelligence gathering (capture within CRM by prospect)
- Track and report call activity against required KPI's, including daily, weekly & monthly reporting of activity and results.
- Campaign reporting (in conjunction with Marketing and Inside Sales)
- Assist with upstream marketing campaigns and associated activities
- Provide customer insight/feedback into upstream Sales & Marketing activities
Knowledge & Skills Required:
- CRM systems (not essential)
- Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint
- Proven and demonstrable track record of Telesales/qualified lead generation in a SME environment
- Retail experience desirable
- Solutions environment experience (eg technology and managed services)
- Demonstrate ability to link solutions to customer needs and relating benefits
- Objection handling
- Ability to apply different styles eg persuasive style through to subtle and soft sell
- Listening skills
- Questioning skills (intelligence gathering)
- Team player
- Ability to work under pressure of timescales and targets (call numbers, lead generation, pipeline)
- Attention to detail
- Ability to identify and create a customer 'need' and identify 'opportunities'
- Organised, call planning and contract planning skills
- Ability to build rapport with prospects on calls and over time.
- Confident telephone manner and ability to deal with a diverse cultural base where English is not always their 1st language.
