Main Job Purpose

  • To be responsible for the delivery of a targeted set of results through the management/leadership of a sales team.
  • To provide accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Work to maximise customer satisfaction, revenue and tenure in all activity.
  • To be responsible for recruitment, development, motivation, coaching and operational management of a sales team.
  • To ensure that all team members work in line with the O2 core values and the O2 Way standards and disciplines.
  • To implement academy sales processes and coach for improvement in team.

Key Responsibilities

  • To maintain a thorough understanding of O2 business campaigns/propositions to maximise team' usage to achieve sales KPI's of new connections, disconnections, resigns, and customer satisfaction.
  • To understand and communicate the O2 UK's business Strategy and business sales targets and mission statement and goals.
  • To have total awareness of team pipeline and play an active role in increasing closure ratios.
  • To manage quarterly reviews (as a minimum) to manage account and opportunity reviews with each individual team member.
  • To actively develop and maintain multi level relationships with all accounts managed within the team.
  • To provide the business with accurate budgets and forecasts as and when requested.
  • To confidently convey the O2 UK business markets strategy and targets.
  • To be responsible for the communication of the O2 business sales mission and to manage sales teams members to adhere to the O2 way at all times.
  • To ensure all team members actively attend all mandatory training and development initiatives.
  • To ensure all team members have sufficient technical and product knowledge to complete their role effectively.
  • To be responsible for recruiting high calibre sales candidates in O2 sales roles across the directorate.
  • Hold monthly meetings as documented in the O2 way.
  • To manage monthly coaching reviews within the field with each team member as detailed in the O2 Way.
  • Hold monthly 1-2-1 's to discuss performance management vs target, opportunities and personal development and issues.
  • Develop and maintain a personal cross function profile to ensure effective virtual team management and issue resolution.
  • To ensure all customer details are captured and maintained on database.
  • To resolve any escalated issues via a team member.
  • To sit in on regular customer account reviews to ensure O2 is delivering longer term strategies and customer satisfaction in line with customer needs.
  • You will ensure that all team members adhere to The O2 Way sales standards and disciplines.

Sales Manager O2 Way standards that need to be upheld are:

  • Account and opportunities reviews
  • Pipeline Management and review
  • Monthly Sales Meetings
  • Team 121's and APR's
  • Skill coaching and accreditation of sales skills
  • Recruitment and new starters
  • You will ensure that all team members attend any sales development initiatives
  • You will ensure that all team members attend quarterly marketing launches and product related training
