Service Contracts Manager
We are currently recruiting for a Service Contract Manager to provide contracts and commercial support to our client, a leading global IT company based in the Reading area.
The successful applicant will work with the Commercial Contract Management Team to provide contracts and commercial support to the service sales organisation. The role includes reviewing and structuring non-standard Statement of Work (SOW) services deals/offerings within the boundaries of legal and commercial policies. Overall responsibility of the role will be to work closely with the AS Delivery Teams, Sales Teams, Finance Teams, Legal Teams and Deal Management Teams to provide legal and commercial assurance with respect to SOW-based services to be provided to customers.
Through strong leadership, business partnering, communication and influencing skills the candidate will be able to build trust and confidence within the business.
Specific areas of focus include:
*Review and approval of standard and non-standard Statements of Work (SOWs) for Customers
*Review and approval of standard and non-standard Statements of Work (SOWs) for Subcontractors (back to back SOWs)
*Advise and assist the Sales teams during SOW negotiation with Customers
*Advise and assist the Sales teams during negotiation with Subcontractors
*Determine appropriate actions and solutions for the more complex legal and business issues related to the services offered
*Able to apply company policies and render guidance with a view to achieving best solution for all parties
Skills Required
*The individual will demonstrate the capacity and strong desire to learn new things and quickly apply that knowledge to specific tasks.
*Ability to understand SOW legal framework and governing legal agreements.
*Ability to understand and apply business policies and process.
*Strong background in contractual law related to the provision of services.
*Commercial and financial knowledge an advantage
*Experience in commercial negotiation with customers and/or subcontractors
*Ability to translate commercial/legal scenarios into simple language, business issues professionally.
*Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and persuasion skills, including the ability to weigh and articulate the risk and benefit of various scenarios and propose effective resolutions.
*Ability to work successfully with various levels (mid to senior management) across geographies. The individual will have the ability to operate well in a cross-functional team
