Programme Facilitator

cup! Our Sector is formed of a collection of individual businesses (with over 100 brands), grouped into 6 divisions; PEAK
(comprising of Adventure brands), Sport, Education, Marine, North America Specialist and Specialist Holidays Group
(comprising of ski businesses and luxury brands).
The Education division comprises of 38 brands dedicated to worldwide school and university markets, including educational
tours, residential activity courses, school and university ski trips, sports tours, expeditions and developmental travel.
What You'll Be Doing
Deliver high quality expedition programme meetings and training sessions for all client schools with overseas expedition
teams predominantly within a pre-determined catchment area.
Provide guidance and support, inspiring confidence during face-to-face contact with School Leaders, Challengers (students
aged between 16 and 19) and their parents.
Responsibilities
* To deliver the expedition programme to a consistently excellent standard to a number of schools within, though not
confined to a pre-determined region.
* To inspire and motivate Challengers to complete the expedition programme through the delivery of high quality
expedition programme meetings and training on topics including, but not exclusively: individual and team goals, money
management, travel safety, health & hygiene, first aid, water purification, fitness, kit selection and management,
expedition team roles, leadership, destination research.
* Facilitate the effective development of teamwork within each expedition team, preparing all Challengers for a
successful expedition
* Using innovation and initiative to maximise Challenger retention - this may typically include: Facilitating extra
meetings when required & development of employer relationships for Challengers in your territory
* To report to office - based School Support Coordinators activities undertaken, response from Challengers and School
Staff, and attendance, as well as any queries raised and answers provided following each expedition programme
meeting.
* To report to the Line Manager any possible business development opportunities and leads following each expedition
programme meeting or point of contact with School Leaders.
What We're Looking For
* Ability to motivate school students aged 16 to 19
* Self motivated, team player, able to work under pressure, excellent communication and presentation skills
* Basic to intermediate knowledge of Power Point, Outlook.
* Initiative, empathy, adaptability and enthusiasm.
* Interest in the UK education system and Outdoor Industry preferable.
* Experience in an Expedition Leader, Outdoor Industry Instruction role preferable
* Mountain Leader (summer) Training, or equivalent, preferable
* Experience of working with young people / youth groups preferable
* Experience of independent or expedition travel in the developing world preferable
* An understanding of basic first aid and expedition health and hygiene preferable
* Full clean driving licence.
* Access to broadband internet facility required
