Programme Engineering Manager

As a world leader in defence systems integration we require a Programme Engineering Manager within our Aircraft & mission
systems business unit based at Broughton.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the generation, execution and maintenance of the engineering management plans and schedule for all phases
of the engineering lifecycle.

Responsible to ensure that the engineering team complete work to time, budget and required standard.

Day to day directing to engineers, establishing roles and responsibilities for the engineering team.

Ensuring that the design and development tasks are undertaken using defined and agreed standards and methodologies.
Including the use of structured tools.

Establishing and implementing the process improvement across engineering and the business as agreed with the Heads of
Business and Heads of Function.

Ensure all engineering requirements are managed effectively.

Collect, analyse and report the project metrics to demonstrate adherence to plans and agreed estimates

Establishing an effective communication network within the team, flowing down project goals and engineering commitments
and managing progress.


Competencies
* Process driven manager with practical hands on knowledge of managing engineering teams.
* Intimate knowledge of product lifecycle preferably in am aircraft environment
* Ability to multi task effectively
* Skilled Communicator in oral and written formats across all levels of the organisation
* Ability to lead technical design and integration teams
* Ability to review other engineers designs

Personal Characteristics

Creative, Self starter, Enthusiastic, Attention to detail, and highly motivated.


Required Education

Honours in Electronic Engineering (or related discipline)
