Performance Engineer
The Aftertreatment Performance Engineer is responsible for the specification and performance verification of Aftertreatment Components, including washcoats and substrates, vs. programme technical objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Aftertreatment system and component level test planning, Facilitation of test and instrumentation setup, Data analysis and component specification (including catalyst loading and system sizing), Aftertreatment system CAE physics model development, Ownership and development of relevant calibration parameters in engine control unit, Quantification of design change impacts on aftertreatment performance, Root cause identification and corrective action development for issues identified at engine system and machine levels, Provide technical guidance to internal machine integration and customer applications teams, Documentation and technical reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Essential: Relevant Engineering or Physics/Chemistry Degree, Relevant experience in testing and development of complex systems.
Desirable: Relevant experience working within engine calibration or exhaust system development, Engine and/or Aftertreatment design and/or development experience, in particular Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC), Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF) and Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems, Structured problem solving including 6 Sigma and 8D methodologies (Green Belt preferred), Experience of working within a multi- functional team environment, Experience of engine system performance modelling (CAE).
