National Account Executive - Small Package Divisio
My client is one of the leading logistics companies in the world.
They are currently seeking a National Account Executive for their Parcels/Small Packets division.
Working mostly in isolation, 60% within appointments, 40% within office environment.
Responsible for the entire sales process from intelligence gathering and prospecting, to negotiating and securing new conversion customers. Primary responsibility will be for the conversion of new significant customers within the UK and Ireland Freight Forwarding business unit. Customers will typically be multi site, with a spend potential of a minimum of $1m p.a. Focus will be on large opportunities in order to achieve a conversion/penetration plan of $3.5m new business p.a. There is also potential for penetration of agreed existing prospect opportunities within the UK and Ireland existing customer base.
Principal Responsibilities
•Must be able to sell the core products of an extensive portfolio including Air and Ocean freight products, and we focus on the North American market.
•Organise your working day by territory planning. Responsible for their own appointment making, update TEAMS on a timely basis on all sales activity as outlined in the TEAMS MAR (Minimum Acceptable Requirement).
•Involved in a consultative sell, an industry specialist who should be self motivated and can offer logistical solutions and self taught service enhancements.
•From the initial point of contact, the NAE needs to be able to fact find in order to make the appointment pay off. Therefore, the NAE needs to be able to facilitate the sales process by using questions to obtain information about the customer's business situation/goals, identify areas of customer concern or disagreement, and identify additional sales opportunities.
•This will involve listening to understand and retain factual information and implied meanings communicated by customers.
•By managing the sales process the NAE will guide and co-ordinate the activities of others to meet customer needs and enhance customer satisfaction. By making recommendations/proposals, being persistent and overcoming resistance, the NAE will be able to influence and close the sell.
Job Holder Skills
•3 years experience in 2 of the following products: airfreight, ocean-freight, package and basic logistics services.
•Understanding of local market conditions, including competitive field.
•Excellent customer service/sales, knowledge.
•High competency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
•Self-organized (prioritize, plan, execute and self control).
•Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
•Organized, flexible and able to work under tight deadlines.
•Excellent team player, Positive attitude & Self-starter
•Master's degree or equivalent preferred
