Infrastructure Architect - UNIX/Windows - Banking

Global investment bank requires an experienced Infrastructure Architect to deliver superior infrastructure designs and provide technology leadership.

The role involves meeting with clients and 3rd party vendors in order to formally gather the requirements. Must have a proven track record of clearly translating business needs into IT infrastructure solutions.

Must have a good understanding investment banking products and processes with business knowledge across asset classes (FX, EQ, PB, FI, Credit, EM)

Must have a systems engineering discipline background with exposure to:

  • Operating systems internals, benchmarking and performance tuning, systems admin - Solaris, Linux, Windows
  • Web applications Servers (IIS, MQ, Apache, WebSphere, Weblogic)
  • Databases: Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL
  • Storage: EMC SAN, Netapp NAS, Backups
  • Market Data and Networking
  • Middleware and Grid Technologies
  • End to end agile infrastructure architecture
  • Trading Technologies
  • Complex Event Processing, Grid, Data Grids.
  • Java/Java GUI, XML/XSLT, HTML/JavaScript
