Creating the future of transport, our client is an internationally recognised centre of excellence providing world-class research, consultancy, software, testing and certification for all aspects of transport. They are now on the lookout for an IT Systems Analyst to join their dynamic IT Services Team.

If you're an IT professional with experience of Ethernet, TCP/IP, MS SQL Server and Windows Server, this is an excellent opportunity to work at the forefront of today's transport issues.

In this exciting and challenging role, as an IT Systems Analyst, you will be working as part of a small team; building, maintaining and supporting server and networking systems.

Working in an environment consisting of a converged Cisco Voice/Data IP network infrastructure with up to 400 PCs used by 334 staff, you'll have the chance to enjoy a variety of work across different applications and systems.

In addition to providing systems support, as an IT Systems Analyst, you'll be responsible for providing 3rd level desktop support, as well as making technical contributions to new developments and managing small projects. This will include resolving complex user support problems and root cause analysis.

Your other duties will include:

- Installing, configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting Microsoft Server 2003/2008
- Supporting and maintaining Dell Server Hardware and SAN
- Monitoring, managing and supporting Server Virtualisation
- Backup and data archiving

To be considered for this superb opportunity, you must have experience of the following:

- Ethernet and TCP/IP
- MS SQL Server
- Windows Server 2003 and 2008

As an IT Systems Analyst, you'll need great team working skills and the ability to communicate at all levels. Equally important is your flexible and enthusiastic approach and ability to manage a personal workload in a pressurised environment with ever changing priorities.

Whilst not essential, experience of any of the following would be beneficial to your application: Microsoft Windows 7, SANs, Enterprise Backups, Dell server hardware and/or Opentext Livelink.
