Position: Helpdesk Analyst
Location: Slough
Salary: £28-30k Basic

ROLE:
The Helpdesk Analyst will provide 1st and 2nd line support, maintaining agreed service levels, this role is the interface between other departments providing support between the hours of 8am and 8pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a)Processes incoming calls from Field teams and triages calls logged in our reporting system
b)First point of contact for all technical issues across the multi site operation
c)Passes on/escalates calls to other departments as and when necessary
d)Produce reports on activity undertaken and progress made
e)Sends support alerts to key stakeholders within the business
f)Liaises with 3rd party suppliers if required to resolve technical issues
ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a)MCSE/MCDST (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer/Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician)
b)Relevant NVQ/HNC/HND
c)Previous experience of working with server hardware, data, voice and converged networks
d)Experience of using Microsoft based systems
DESIRABLE SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
a)Telecoms experience
b)IT based qualification
c)CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
d)Xen/Citrix based qualification
e)Ayaya experience/expert
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
a)Excellent verbal and written communication
b)The ability to adapt to change
c)Able to work effectively under pressure
You may have experience in the following: Telephony copper network distribution systems, RF data networks, CAT5e cabling and infrastructure, MPLS network architecture, PC & server hardware and software build/configuration, Xen host technology, TCP/IP fundamentals, ACD, architecture, network diagnostic tools, Microsoft operating systems
