Embedded C/C++, Assembler, Firmware, MISRA C, 8/16/32 bit, Volcano, Vector, CANbus, Profibus, KWP2000, IP, UML, Matlab, Simulink, Targetlink, Analogue & Digital Design.

This highly successful organisation are seeking additional Embedded Software Engineer/Firmware Engineer x4 to work within a multi-disciplined engineering team, consisting of mechanical, electronic and firmware engineers. My client designs and manufactures a wide range of products for Gas, Automotive, Safety and Consumer industries and typical systems are: Vehicle Body Controllers, Immobilisers, Alarms, Telematics, Display, Gas Controls, Driveline and Transmission Control.

This is an excellent opportunity for Embedded Software Engineer/Firmware Engineer to work on interesting and varied projects, who will specify tools, requirements and drive the software discipline within the company. This role involves every aspect of the product life cycle from quotations, conception and design through to manufacture.

As an Embedded Software Engineer/Firmware Engineer you will ideally have experience in :
Embedded control systems, Programming in C, Highly Developed Documentation Skills, Version Control, Static Analysis/Code Metrics, Microprocessors 8,16 & 32 bit, Low Level Drivers For External Hardware/CPU Peripherals, Highly developed structured approach to design, Real Time Control, Use Of Volcano or Vector Vehicle Networking Tools with 5+ Years of Design in a Commercial Environment.

Essential Attributes for the Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer are :
Self managing, Highly motivated, Customer facing with Good Technical Writing Experience. Full Driving Licence (You could be working on vehicle systems!). Willingness to travel, some customers are based in US/EU.

Additional Experience That Would Be An Advantage :
Programming Languages: Assembler, Simple Electronic Design: Analogue/Digital, Schematic Capture, Control of Graphic Displays, Communications Protocols: CAN, Profibus, KWP2000, IP. Modelling experience using UML, Matlab, Simulink or Targetlink.
