Electronics Engineer Analogue

Electronics Engineer required to work within our clients' team based in Winfrith Newburgh, Dorset. This is a contract role for 4 months starting in February 2012.

The right candidate will be skilled and experienced in low noise small signal analogue circuit design, wide dynamic range analogue to digital conversion circuit design for microcontroller interface and use of CAD packages for circuit schematic and electro-mechanical documentation.

The key accountabilities for the role are to:

Design the sensor signal conditioning circuit and the analogue to digital conversion circuit to the specified functional and performance requirements. Provide shielding and / or guarding if necessary. Design the power supply circuitry for each functional block of the sensor design. Provided galvanic isolation if necessary. Design in Built-in-Test functions. Produce a full manufacturing drawing pack. Manage the PEC design and manufacture. Liaise with other team members to establish board size, shape and connector positions. Prove the design through thorough testing. Provide an assurance of quality, robustness and reliability. Design the shore side power supply solution, including remote monitoring capability.

Able to obtain quotes and oversee PCB assembly. Able to manage and oversee production manufacture. Able to produce test specifications. Able to design and produce production test fixtures. Able to test production units. Able to undertake configuration management and quality assurance.
