Electronic Design Engineer
Electronic Design Engineer:
An Electronic Design Engineer is required to join the UK's leading manufacturer for Oceanographic, Hydrographic and Hydrometric Instruments with a worldwide customer base that includes: Environmental, Defence, Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, Construction, Dredging and Civil Engineering.
With a vast product range, this company has developed a strong reputation within the industry for high quality and reliable instrumentation and innovation, and the Electronics Design Engineer will assist in the continued development of new products.
The Electronics Design Engineer will join the expanding R&D team and will work along side the current Senior Electronic Design Engineer to design and develop the companies next generation of products. As the Electronic Design Engineer you will need to be able to take the product all the way from concept to production.
Essential Skills/Qualifications:
-Formally qualified Electronic Engineer (Degree or Equivalent)
-Minimum of 3 years commercial experience in Hardware Design
-Analogue & Digital Design experience (more so Analogue)
-Ability to design & layout circuit boards & test them
-Knowledge and understanding of EMC requirements
Any of the following areas would be advantageous:
-Knowledge of Software/Firmware
-Experience of programming Embedded micro controllers
-PIC/Atmel and Embedded Systems
-FPGA
-Digital Signal Processing techniques
-EMC Testing/Conformance and PCB Layout using SEETRAX XL Designer
Any experience of underwater acoustics/optics instrumentation would also be an advantage.
