I am currently seeking a Diabetes Scientific Adviser for a large pharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. The role is full time and a six months contract.

The main purpose of the role is to work in the diabetes team in making launch preparations for a product, including:

1. overseeing and participating in the preparation of standard Medical Information letters
2. working closely with the Medical Information Officers to answer complex enquiries
3. keeping up-to-date with recent therapy and competitor news and advising the brand team accordingly
4. helping shape the generation of marketing campaigns by providing scientific expertise to the brand team
5. copy approval of promotional material to ensure compliance with the ABPI Code of practice.

Ideally the right candidate would:

1. have a strong background in pharmaceuticals
2. experience of copy approval (preferably using Zinc)
3. producing standard letters
4. proficiency in literature searching; good standard of written English
5. strong experience of working in the diabetes therapy area
