Our client is a leading player in the UK patient messaging market. They make software that sends messages reminding patients of appointments and selling or promoting services and health campaigns. They are currently looking to recruit a motivated Deployment/Software Support Engineer to join their team.

As a Deployment/Software Support Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, setting up and using our client's range of products and services, specifically a fully automated text and email messaging service.

You will be responsible for project managing the deployment of our client's service into hospitals and other secondary care organisations. You will also be tasked with training customers in how to use and get the maximum benefit from the product.

Your key duties will include:

- Performing installations and training services for remote systems
- Following up training sessions to ensure they are receiving the full benefits of the services
- Working closely in conjunction with the sales team providing pre and post sales technical support
- Working closely with the helpdesk team, resolving issues and assisting in creating training and support materials

To be considered for this position, you must have held a senior IT position with experience of some or all of the following:

- Windows operating systems
- Internet technologies, such as proxies, Firewalls and/or Internet connectivity
- ODBC and/or databases
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Troubleshooting and resolving IT related issues

As a Deployment/Software Support Engineer, you must have excellent organisational and time management skills. You should also have good problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to work on your own initiative.
