Business Monitoring Officer

Our client is a private investment company which provides services to independent financial advisers, their clients and direct to consumers with the goal to offer the best possible service for IFAs and their clients enabling them to consolidate their position as Britains leading independently-owned financial advisory group.

Opportunities are available for experienced Business Monitors to join their expanding team in Macclesfield.

The main function of the Business Monitor role is to review and improve standards of advice offered aswell as building and maintaining key working relationships between clients and the IFA.

Salary & Benefits:

30,000-35,000 OTE

Type of Role:

The position of Business Monitor is a full time permanent role.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Carry out compliance risk assessments to ensure all quality standards are adhered to
To check an agreed number of client files per day within the agreed criteria and record the results of the file checks.
To feedback the results to both the Adviser and ADCs
To provide a customer service to Advisers, Para-planners and ADCs that is within the service agreement
To visit the Advisers, when required to discuss any areas of concern and provide feedback
Ensure findings of risk assessments are followed up in an efficient manner
Escalate potential risks accordingly when required
Fully comply with all FSA rules & regulations at all times

Experience & Requirements:

It is essential that you have previous experience in a compliance / risk / business monitoring role
The successful applicant will also be qualified with a Certificate in Financial Planning (or equivalent) and be working towards Diploma status with the Chartered Insurance Institute.

The ideal candidate will have full knowledge of all FSA rules and regulations, have the confidence and ability to handle difficult conversations, and have excellent analytical and communication skills.
